Christian Education Opportunities!

The Christian Education Committee has been and will continue to look for and provide new opportunities and studies as we grow disciples of all ages. Our goal is to make learning accessible for all ages and interests. Session has passed on the challenge of expanding our ministries to welcome seekers, engage disciples and prepare servants for the mission and ministry of Christ. We will continue to look for traditional and non-traditional ways of reaching this challenge.

Wednesday Evenings from 6:30pm to 7:30pm    In Christianity, Lectio Divina (Latin for "Divine Reading") is a traditional Benedictine practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of God's Word. It does not treat Scripture as texts to be studied, but as the Living Word.
Traditionally, Lectio Divina has four separate steps: read; meditate; pray; contemplate. First a passage of Scripture is read, then its meaning is reflected upon. This is followed by prayer and contemplation on the Word of God.
